Rochester NH- Lionel A. "Leo" Dube, 88, of 326 Washington Street died Tuesday Aug. 17, 2010 at his home after a period of failing health. He was born Sept. 3, 1921 in Rollinsford, NH, the son of the late Joseph and Roseanna (Lepage) Dube. Lionel served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and he was the last surviving member of the "Flying Tigers". He was a communicant of St. Leo Church of Gonic, NH. He worked for many years as a truck driver for the NH Bumper Company. Lionel was a member of the Rollinsford American Legion and Le Club Victoire of Rochester where he enjoyed playing cards and pool. His favorite times were spent with his family. Members of his family include the love of his life, his wife of 66 years, Violet (Allard) Dube of Rochester; four sons, Joseph and wife Shirley Dube of Homosassa FL, Lionel Dube Jr. of W. Lebanon ME, Dennis and wife Cindy Dube of Dover NH, David and wife Wendy Dube of Lagrangeville NY; five daughters, Claire Randlett of W. Lebanon ME, Susan and husband Donald Beadle of S. Lebanon ME, Darlene Dube and husband Russell Kay of Madbury NH, Sharlene Dube Muhl of Milton NH, Faith and husband Theodore Bowen of Wappingers Falls NY; 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Ouelette of Manchester NH and Rachel Morin of Alton NH, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 4 brothers, 3 sisters and two grandsons, Cory O. Welch and Joseph J. Dube. Family and friends may visit Thursday Aug.19, 2010 from 4-7pm at the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00am in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, North Main Street, Rochester, NH. Burial will follow at 2:00PM in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Gonic, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Leo Church, 59 Main Street, Rochester NH 03839.
