Lorette Ann (Michel) Weeks

Lorette Ann (Michel) Weeks, 98, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2021,at Harmony Homes by the Bay in Durham, NH.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Meriden, in April of 1990. Born in Somersworth, NH 1/9/1923 the daughter of Wilfred and Yvonne (Gaudreau) Michel she lived most of her life in Rochester, NH.  Lorette graduated from Somersworth High and worked for GE in Somersworth retiring in 1984. Energetic, fun loving, kind and giving, Lorette was loved by everyone who knew her.  Her family adored her and she will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.  She enjoyed just being with people, went on several cruises and visited other destinations over the years but her greatest enjoyment came from family gatherings and being present for activities her grandchildren were involved with.  She was always available for anyone who needed her help and took great pride in caring for her home. Lorette is survived by her children, Gail Yezombek of Davenport, FL, Donna LaRose (husband Rick) of Rochester, NH, and Steven Weeks of Barrington, NH, her grandchildren Sean Anctil, Jennifer Woodfin, Stacey Kostis, Dan Weeks, Sara Weeks, Mindy Hanson and Melissa Guzman, great grandchildren Dan, Livia, Cayla, Merida, Evan, Gwen and Sheayla, and her brother, Robert Michel of Beverly Mass.  She was predeceased by her sisters Rita Couturier and Annette Goulet and her brother Leo Michel. The family would like to thank both the staff at Harmony Homes by the Bay and Cornerstone VNA Hospice for the excellent care and support they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Cornerstone VNA Hospice, 178 Farmington Rd., Rochester, NH 03867 Or a charity of one's choosing. A private family service and burial will take place in the spring under the direction of Edgerly Funeral Home.
