Rochester - Louise Lampert Tiews, 60 passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family, after succumbing to a long courageous battle with cancerous brain tumors. Born in Boston on August 28, 1952, the daughter of Morton and Brina (Saklad) Lampert. She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School in 1970 and a graduate of Bryant College in 1974. A caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Peter S. Tiews, whom she met in December 1975. They have lived in Rochester for 30 years where they raised their daughters, Katherine Cauley and her husband Thomas of Rochester, and Deborah Tiews and her boyfriend Dillon Tagget of Dover. She also leaves behind her bundles of joy, her 2 grandkids, Hallie and Bryce Cauley of Rochester. She leaves behind her mother, Brina Lampert of Exeter. Her sisters, Elaine Lampert of Portsmouth and Arlene Scampini of Epping.Her brothers and their wives, Jerry & Sue Lampert of Hopkinton, MA and David & Lori Lampert of Portsmouth. She leaves behind her sister in-law Cyndi Kirby of Texas, many wonderful nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and several childhood and college friends. Louise enjoyed her job as a paraprofessional at McClelland School in Rochester for the last 20 years, where she met several of her close friends. She loved spending time in the summer at the family cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee, being part of the Pease Greeters, traveling with Peter, attending Patriots games as a season ticket holder for the last 37 years, teaching Hallie to read and write and spending quality time with her grandkids. Family and friends may visit Tuesday January 1, 2013 from 4-7PM at the R. M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery in Dover, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made online or by mail in Louise's name to the Chordoma Foundation PO Box 2127, Durham, NC 27702 to help aid in the research to find a cure. http://www.chordomafoundation.org/research/drug-screening-project/
