It is with great sadness that the children of Lucille Lachance announce her passing on June 7, 2022. Lucille was born to Anna and Alfred Gilbert on January 6th, 1927 in Rochester, NH. She was the youngest and last surviving sibling of 13 children. She married her loving husband Donald Lachance of Rochester, NH in 1945 and they had four children Margaret (Wayne) Brooks, Charlene (Roland) Laroche, Ret. Captain Don (Bonnie) Lachance, and Sharon (George) Bonney. Lucille was devoted to raising her children and being a homemaker. Lucille worked at Lightbody's Drug Store, Allain's Jewelry and Allie's Jewelry Store. She loved dancing every Saturday night at the Rockingham Ballroom and taking trips with her husband. She was very involved with the Rochester senior citizens and was a former past president for their association. She was an avid card and bingo player, cribbage being her game of choice, both of which she enjoyed well into her 90's. At 92 years old Lucille made over 1,000 beautiful, beaded bracelets that she donated to missionaries to be distributed to those less fortunate. Up until her passing, she still loved her crossword puzzles and game books. Lucille was a master of cross stitch and crewel embroidery having completed many heirlooms for her family throughout the years. She loves knitting and crocheting and participating in craft fairs with her youngest daughter. Lucile had four grandchildren, Ret. Col. David Brooks, Capt. Chad Brooks, Alan Stevens and Amy Gagnon and several great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was pre-deceased by her husband Donald, daughter Charlene and son in law Wayne Brooks. Per Lucille's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private funeral with her immediate family is being planned. Her children wish to thank her caregivers at Genesis Healthcare and her care team at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. We will forever be grateful for your compassionate care you gave our mother.
