Obituary

Luke Carlyle Billings passed away after a period of failing health on April 10, 2026, at his home. He was the son of the late Luke D. and Florence (Stevens) Billings, and he lived exactly the way he wanted to, right up until the end.

Luke was not a complicated man. He knew what he believed, he knew what mattered, and he did not waver. He was traditional in the truest sense, the kind of man who showed up, kept his word, and expected the same from everyone around him.

He enjoyed his family, good times and cookouts at the family pool. Playing wiffle ball games and volleyball in the back yard with his many grandchildren.

He was a proud father to Kenneth Billings and his wife Bonnie Billings; Glen Billings; and Kathy Kanelos and her husband Nicholas Kanelos Jr. He watched his family grow to include 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two infant granddaughters.

He shared many good years with his partner Pauline Cram, who brought him genuine happiness and steady companionship.

Luke built his working life with Brown & Horsch Insulation Company, East Coast Siding, Homemakers, and Market Basket. He worked hard because that is who he was, not because anyone asked him to.

Family and friends are welcome to attend visiting hours being held Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM with a funeral service following at 6:00 PM at R. M. Edgerly Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, New Hampshire.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Rochester Cemetery, 71 Franklin Street Rochester, NH.

He will be missed by many.
