Madelyn Rouff

Madelyn K. Rouff who liked to be call Lyn, passed away at the age of 75 on Sunday, May 31st, 2020 after a two year battle of leukemia, surrounded by her loved ones. Lyn was the loving daughter of George A. Leonard Jr. and Madeline Leonard (both deceased.) Lyn is survived by her two children Christopher "Chris" Rouff of Lebanon Maine and Rebecca "Becky" Rouff of Berwick Maine. Lyn's also leaves behind her brothers George "Dutch" Leonard of Osprey Fl, Thomas Leonard of Galax Va. sisters Patricia Sheppard of Stoneham Ma. (deceased 2012), and Katherine Leonard of Sarasota Fl. Lyn was a 1962 Graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School in Wakefield Ma. Upon graduation she became a librarian at the Lucius Beebee Memorial Library in Wakefield, where she continued her work as a librarian at Haverhill Public Library, and retired from the Berwick Public Library in Maine. Lyn's life had her moving around to many different places and each new location family was first. Whether it was driving to horseback riding lessons, finding the perfect gift, or taking her kids out of school early to catch the hottest summer movie, it was about her family. Lyn's  hobby was  genealogy where she spent numerous hours finding her family history. Lyn became so good at genealogy she began assisting family and friends, in discovering their family tree. Following her hobby into something more, a Genealogy Group was started at the Berwick Public Library called the "Genie Group" Lyn retired from her position at the Library in 2018 due to her illness, where she was loved and respected, by her fellow staff members and numerous patrons. In addition to Lyn's kids, bothers, and sister, she leaves behind several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. Lyn's family and friends will forever miss her smile, laughter and love of family.
