July 16, 1944 — June 21, 2022

Manford (Bud) Beecher Dyer Jr. 77, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Portsmouth Hospital with his family by his side. He was born July16,1944 in Malden, Massachusetts, the son of Manford B. Dyer and Mary T. O'Malley Dyer. Bud was the husband of Norma L. Gorton Dyer. They were married on January 17,1970. Bud graduated in 1963 from Oyster River High School. Following his service, he enrolled at the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Portsmouth where he earned his Associates Degree in Auto Mechanics. Bud and Norma settled with their young family in Epping, NH in the same neighborhood where he grew up. Bud took great pride in everything he did and was always busy, whether at work or home.  He would lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  When he did relax, he enjoyed being outside in general, whether in his backyard pool, mowing or raking the lawn, or driving down to the ocean. Another favorite pastime was visiting with friends at local antique car shows. Bud is survived by his wife Norma, three children, Keith Ferland, Heidi Dyer, and Kevin Dyer, and two grandchildren. Predeceased by his older sister Ann Dyer Gove, he also leaves behind younger siblings Arlene Dyer Cousins and Thomas Dyer both of Maine, and many nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
