Marie Baughman

Marie M. Baughman, 68, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017.   Born August 27, 1948, in Boston, MA. She was the daughter of Thomas and Virginia McInerney. Marie was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, J. Barry Baughman; her sister Marguerite Dalton; and her brother, Kevin McInerney. She leaves her daughter Melinda D. Baughman and her husband Garth K. Shaneyfelt; her daughter Kristin M. Martin and her partner Scott Goodell; and her grandchildren Dustin J. Martin and Brady A. Martin.   Marie was dedicated to family, friends, and work including many years as an invaluable administrative assistant at Oyster River High School and Frisbee Memorial Hospital. She was insightful and maintained an interest in learning throughout her life. Marie brought laughter and light to those around her. She was much loved and will be missed.   Marie loved being a Grammy. The boys gave her joy and pride. She enjoyed the beach, especially visits with her best friend from childhood, Rosemary, or with her grandchildren. She loved dancing and was the life of the party.   Marie is an organ donor and it brings her family comfort to know that she will continue to have a positive impact on the lives of others.   Calling hours will be held at Edgerly Funeral Home Tuesday, June 20, 4:30-7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at same on Wednesday June 21 at 11:00 a.m.   Special Requests: 1. We have enjoyed seeing photos of Marie that her friends and family have been sharing. Would you consider bringing a photo of Marie to the wake or service? We'll have a bulletin board. You may take your photo back afterward or leave your name and address on the back and I'll mail it to you. We plan to dress in color in recognition of her lively spirit.
