Marion Morris

Lebanon, ME- Marion (Walker) Morris ,106, died Tuesday Feb. 23, 2010 at the Newton Center Nursing Home in Sanford, ME. Born Dec. 4, 1903 in Quincy ,MA she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (MacMillan) Walker. She has resided in Lebanon ME since 1961 and was a longtime member of the Grace Baptist Church in East Rochester NH. Mrs. Morris worked as a secretary for the Alves Company in Braintree, MA. In 2004, she received the post cane for being a centarian. Her hobbies included crotcheting, crossword puzzles and word games. The widow of Charles Morris who died in 1970 she is survived by her daughter, Lucille Morris of Lebanon, ME.; two grandchildren, Eric C. Thielen and Christopher J. Thielen both of CA. She was predeceased by her daughter Marjorie (Morris) Thielen in 2007 and brothers, Arthur, John Henry, Howard S. Lester M. Walker and sisters, Effie Saunders, Jennie Duggan, Annie Kenn, Sarah Wynott, and Helen M. Walker. Family and friends may visit from 10 to 11am Saturday at the Grace Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday in the Grace Baptist Church, 23 Main Street, East Rochester NH with Rev. Todd Brandt officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy, MA ,Monday March 1, 2010 at 11:30am.
