Dover, NH- Marjorie (Ratliff) White of Strafford, Dover & Milton, New Hampshire passed away suddenly on November 27, 2018 at the age of 95 years old. Marj was the daughter of the late Reagan & Ethel Ratliff (Sherier) of Utah and was the wife of the late R. Byron White of Strafford. Marj was predeceased by a very special friend Ellie Springer. She is survived by many dear friends including Carol & John Norton, Lindy Roethlisberger, Sal & Shirley Silvestre, Leo Cauchon, Ann Hansen, Leo & Tina Howe, Elsie Cancro, Joann Grigoreas, Everett Springer,Maria Wysocki, Ann Williams, Wendy Gick & so many more. Marj received her BA from Cornell University. Early in her professional life, Marj held a government position as a bomb inspector for trains during World War 2, she also held several positions in the field of psychology. She later retired and became a homemaker and worked part-time in her husband's electronic business. During her lifetime, she had Cairn Terriers (including "Duffy" & "Sadie") and cats as pets and was a champion of canine and feline charities. She was an accomplished cook in the areas of French and Indian cuisines, traveled extensively in the United States, Europe and Asia and an avid Bridge player. Fridays were always reserved for her weekly card playing with her very good friends Sal Silvestre, Leo Cauchon & Wendy Gick. Marj enjoyed hiking with Sal, Ann Hansen & many others. Marj enjoyed collecting antiques and coins. She and her husband owned and restored several antique cars. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to your local animal shelter.
