Mary D. Allen

West Lebanon, ME - Mary D. Allen, 65, passed away Saturday December 1, 2012 at her home following a period of failing health. Born August 13, 1947 in Milton, NH she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Mary (Timmons) Dickson. After graduating from Nute High School in 1965, Mary attended Boston University and then completed her education at the University of New Hampshire. She spent the following years raising her two children, supporting their activities and always attending their sporting events. Following in her mother's footsteps, Mary pursued a teaching career at Nute High School. She spent many years teaching Special Education and later in her time at Nute, she was able to teach high school Spanish, which she enjoyed immensely, including a trip to Spain with a group of her students. Mary was a trustee of the Nute High School Library. In her spare time she enjoyed playing golf, spending time at the cottage on Great East Lake, and spending time with her four grandchildren, whom she adored. Members...
