Rochester - Mary Ann Gilmore, 87, passed away Tuesday February 19, 2013 at the Rochester Manor following a period of failing health. Born September 11, 1925 in Chicago, IL she was the daughter of the late Harold and Anne (Keating) Quinn. She graduated in 1946 as a RN in Chicago, Il. She later moved to Colorado to complete the US Cadet Nursing Program where she met her husband Samuel. In 1958 she moved to NH to raise her family, and became a very active participant in the community. Following her husbands passing in 1984 Mary Ann became a pastoral associate with St. Mary Church in Rochester for 23 years. After her retirement she continued to assist the elderly in any way she could. She was the Chaplin of Widowed Support Group and the Frisbie Auxiliary. Members of her family include her children Sandra Bingaman and husband Steve of OK; William Gilmore and wife Paula of Rochester, NH; Mary Frances Kunkowski and husband Mark of VA; Marilynn Shea and husband Mike of Rindge, NH; and Margaret Greener of OK; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel Gilmore in 1984 and one grandchild Kevin Kunkowski. Family and friends may visit Friday February 22, 2013 from 4-6pm at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11AM at St. Mary Church in Rochester with Fr. Daniel Sinibaldi pastor as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rochester Manor Activity Fund, 40 Whitehall Rd.
