Mary E. Proulx, widow of Henri Proulx, died thursday, january 17, 2013 at the Rochester Manor after a long period of failing health. Born November 18, 1927 in Pembroke Maine, she was the daughter of John and Dorothy (Rogers) Ward. She was retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard where she worked in data processing. She was involved with crafts her whole life and loved to play BEANO with her best friend Lil Deeley. She also volunteered at the Rochester Police Dept. She was an active member of the VFW women's auxiliary and was past president of the American Legion District 3. She was a long time resident of the Rochester Manor Nursing Home and until this past year was very active in all of their many activities. Members of her family include her children, MaryBeth Newcombe and husband William Newcombe of Wichita KS.
