Maureen A. Ashley

Rochester - Maureen Ann Ashley, 56, passed away Tuesday January 17, 2012 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover following a period of failing health. Born July 16, 1955 in Rochester, NH she is the daughter of George and Marilyn (Grenier) O'Brien. Maureen had worked in customer service for Benjamin Walk for many years. She was a member of the Rochester Youth Soccer Committee, and active in the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed camping, traveling, reading, and ceramics. Members of her family include her husband of 36 years Kevin Ashley of Rochester, NH; her children Heather Ashley of Illinois; Jamie Ashley of Rochester, NH; and Theresa Cumming and husband Chris of Milton, NH; four grandchildren Cody, Anthony, Robert, and Cassidy, her parents George and Marilyn O'Brien, her sister Mary Ellen Riley of Rochester, NH; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Nick O'Brien. Family and friends may visit Friday January 20, 2012 from 4 - 7 PM at the R. M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11AM at St. Mary Church located on Lowell St. with Fr. Daniel Sinabaldi pastor as celebrant. Burial will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rochester VNA, 178 Farmington Rd, Rochester, NH 03867.
