Maurice Mason

ROCHESTER - Maurice J. Mason, 95, of 4 Gary Drive, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at his daughter's home.Born Oct. 23, 1914 in Belvidere, Vt., he was the son of the late Emmy and Lillian (Haire) Mason. Maurice had lived in Rochester most of his life after moving from Barnstead, N.H. He was last employed as a maintenance man at the Ayers Lake Campground in Barrington after retiring from working most of his life in the logging industry and in the Woolen Mills of Rochester. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his vegetable and flower gardens. He was skilled in many ways and loved to tinker. In his earlier years, Maurice enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in the woods as a wood cutter.
