Merl L. Bartels

St. Cloud, FL.- Merl L. Bartels, 94, died at her home in St. Cloud, Florida. on Sunday June 24, 2018 from complications due to heart disease. She was born Feb. 7, 1924 in Northwood, NH to the late Grace Akins Seavey and Ralph Seavey, Sr. She graduated from Coe Brown Academy in Northwood, NH. In 1967 she moved from Barrington, NH to St. Cloud, FL where she resided for over 50 years. She would return to NH where she enjoyed the summers. During the winter, she would return to Florida and enjoy the warm weather. Merl enjoyed collecting dolls, watching Shirley Temple movies, playing bingo, crocheting and card games. She loved baseball, eating lobster, going to York Beach and traveled to Ireland. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. She would say "When you are coming to visit, you know my door is always open".
