Michael A. Bean

Michael “Mike” Allen Bean, 62, of Rochester, NH, passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2024.
Mike was born December 16, 1961, in Dover, NH, the son of Paul Bean Sr. and Gail [Mayo] Bean. He grew up in North Berwick, ME, and graduated from Noble High School in 1980. Mike joined the United States Marine Corps in January of 1981, and served until honorably discharged in December of 1984. He then went on to work as a Tradesman for 38 years at Subcom in Newington, NH, and recently retired in May of 2024.
Mike married Cathy [Ricker] Bean on June 30, 1990, and spent 34 wonderful years together. Mike and Cathy were the best of friends and did everything together; they worked together – drove to and from work together and took their lunch breaks together. During their free time they loved to spend their days taking long drives, fishing, hiking, camping, golfing, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Mike is survived by mother, Gail Bean; spouse, Cathy Bean; children, Greg Allen and significant other, Samantha Dube, Ashley [Bean] Joyce and husband, Andrew Joyce, and Zachary Bean and wife, Katelyn [Nadeau] Bean; brothers, Paul Bean Jr. and his wife, Wilma [Wakefield] Bean, Robert “Bobby” Bean and wife, Kathleen Bean, and Gary Bean and wife, Bobbi Jo Bean; grandchildren, Isabelle Allen, Olivia Joyce, and Callum Joyce; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mike is predeceased by father, Paul Bean Sr., and grandson, Bodie Bean.
Visitation will be held October 27, 2024, from 4pm-7pm at Edgerly’s Funeral Home in Rochester, NH. Services will be held October 28, 2024, at 10am at Edgerly’s Funeral Home in Rochester, NH. The burial will take place immediately after at Forest Glade Cemetery in Somersworth, NH.
