In loving memory of Michael D. Collins, August 28th, 1968 departed on August 19, 2023 son of Margaret E.Collins and Willie J. Simpson . He was a devoted father to his beloved son Michael D. Collins jr , father in law to Lideny Collins and a cherished grandfather to three adoring grandchildren. His brother Sean Collins, three nieces and two nephews; leaving behind a lasting impact on all who knew him. He attended Portsmouth high school class of 1987, where he forged lifelong friendships. Nature was his sanctuary. With a heart that yearned for the outdoors, he found his solace in the rustling leaves and tranquil waters. Hunting and fishing were more than pastimes they were his way of connecting with the world around him. His hands and mind were skilled as a artist and mechanic soaring to new height continuing his education to accomplish becoming a aviation technician. Yet, his life was not just a solo flight.
