Michael S. Dunham

Michael S. Dunham, age 62, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7th at home in Barrington NH, surrounded by his family, after a long fight with cancer. Mike was dearly loved by his family and countless friends. Born in Massachusetts, brother of Kathy and Karen, he met the love of his life Beth in high school. Nothing could separate them. Mike and Beth married in their early 20s and moved to New Hampshire where they soon began a family of their own and had two sons, Michael and Matthew. Mike devoted much of his time to coaching and cheering on his two sons as they competed in sports as they grew up and whether it was home or away, he was always there. He became a grandfather in 2018 and was the proudest "Papa" to two Grandsons Michael (Gus) and Noah. Mike had a magnetic personality and could chat up even a complete stranger about anything and continuously made new friends wherever he went, and had an uncanny ability to always bump into someone he knew no matter where he was. Mike was a thoughtful listener, an enthusiastic story teller, had a hearty, contagious laugh, and a big comforting bear hug whenever it was needed. He was an unequaled and unrivaled son, brother, husband, father and friend. Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman, and devoted much of his time to sharing his hobbies and traditions with his family. He was also a member of the Hampton River Boat Club where, when he wasn't cruising on his motorcycle, would spend many weekends on the boat, saltwater fishing. He also owned a camp on Lake Ossipee where he spent many weekends boating, cooking out, socializing, and enjoying rest and relaxation with his family and friends. A service in his memory will take place at True Memorial Baptist Church in Rochester, NH on Friday March 13th at 3:00pm.
