WEST OSSIPEE Michael Jacobsen, 84, formerly of Windsock Village passed away at his daughter and son-in-law's home on June 20, 2009, in the arms of his family and loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.God called this angel home today. A man who lived his life each day unwavering from this philosophy:"I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any/Kindness that I can show to any human being, Let me do it now... Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall/Not pass this way again"Born in Torquay, England, on August 7, 1924, he served in the British Navy and became a U.S. citizen on April 12, 1949.A mentor and infinite source of wisdom to his family and everyone whose life he touched. His passion for skiing and tennis was contagious to those around him.He loved the mountains and their majesty. He was employed at Mt. Cranmore where he spent many hours as an instructor for the Golden Gliders: always anxious to teach them how to make "happy turns." He dedicated his time...
