Michael Navoy

March 15, 2000 — November 9, 2011

ROCHESTER Michael P. Navoy, 11, of 200A North Main St. died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at the Children's Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 15, 2000, in Rochester, N.H., he was the son of Michael Navoy and Brenda Gagne. Michael loved life, he enjoyed laser tag, go-carts, camping, hiking, basketball, school and music. He was also the type of kid who always comforted others; he was also a little rascal who sometimes wanted to just get a rise out you. He had a very uplifting spirit that really had an effect on other people and is also what helped him get through the last few months of his life. He enjoyed school and was a very good student. He worked very hard to make the honor role at the end of his fifth grade year and was very proud of that. Michael, even through his very last days, woke up with a smile on his face which was contagious to others around him. He made his illness look easy to those around him. Michael Navoy was a teacher of life in his own little way and had a very brave soul. Those that had a chance to meet him and have a relationship with learned it was an honor, especially his mom and dad. Michael passed on to heaven on a warm peaceful Wednesday afternoon and is no longer suffering and is now shedding his joy and smiles upon all who know him. "He is an angel now." Members of his family include his mother, Brenda Gagne of Rochester; his father Michael Navoy of Somersworth; his brother, Brody Landry of Portsmouth, N.H.; his paternal grandparents, Cynthia Strong of Somersworth, Greg Navoy of Oregon and Tim Hussey of Somersworth; his maternal grandparents, Paul and Donna Gagne of Rochester; his aunts and uncles: Alicia Begovich and her husband Aaron, Jeff and Angela Gagne, Richard Post, Troy Gagne, Ashley and Tim Hussey; his cousins: Bridget Ruel, Isabella Begovich, Zachary and Karlie Gagne; and a great-grandmother, Marie Phelan. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the Joseph Bernier Caregivers Fund, PO Box 971, Rochester NH 03867 Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, from 6-7 p.m. with a funeral to be held at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the R.M.
