Rochester- Mildred Mae (Smith) Hanson, 100, of 90 Wakefield Street died Saturday, September 04, 2010 at the Gafney Home. Born June 29, 1910 in Biddeford, Maine. She was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Lura M. (Grover) Smith. Mrs. Hanson graduated from the Biddeford High School class of 1927. She married C. Walter Hanson and became a housewife until his death on January 15, 1964. She then went to work in the Rochester City Hall in the Billing Department and retired from there after 21 years at the age of 74. She was a long time member of the First Church Congregational UCC in Rochester, a member of the Rochester Grange, former Good Old Sports and Rochester Senior Citizens. She enjoyed doing crafts and bowling on the Grange Team and was proud of her many bowling trophies. She wrote poetry all of her life.
