Born on September 19, 1952, Nancy brought light and joy into the world, living a life full of compassion, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to those she loved. Nancy was predeceased by her loving parents, Mary Patricia Brown and Joseph Shimanoski, and her cherished sister and brother-in-law, Judith and James “Shamus” Murphy. She leaves behind her devoted brother, Jack Shimanoski, and his wife, Susan, of North Carolina; her stepfather, Norman Brown, Rochester, NH and step-siblings, Arnold Brown and Robin Raschdorf. She will be missed by her niece, AnnMarie Shimanoski, and nephew, John Palmisano. Her lifelong friendship with Linda Palmer was a testament to the enduring bonds of true friendship. Her professional life was spent in the insurance industry, where she not only excelled but also formed many enduring relationships. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated and compassionate professional who always had a kind word and a warm smile. Outside of work, Nancy was a devoted member of the First Parish Church in Somersworth, New Hampshire. Her church community was a source of great joy and friendship, and she was an active participant in many church activities. The friendships she made there were a vital part of her life, providing her with a deep sense of belonging and purpose. A service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held on November 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Parish Church, 176 West High Street, Somersworth, NH.
