Nancy V Burgess

East Rochester NH-Nancy V (Gustafson) Burgess,69, of 62 Temple Dr died Friday June 14, 2013 at her home after a brief illness. Born January 6, 1944 in Jamestown NY she was the daughter of the late Albin and Elsa (Sjoqvist) Gustafson. Nancy has lived in Rochester since 2006 after moving from Zeeland MI. She was a past member of the Women's Missionary Council of Webster NY. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, singing, playing piano and accordion. She was a great cook and was able to sew anything for her family. She was a devoted wife mom and friend. Members of her family include her husband of 46 years, Alexander Burgess of East Rochester, a son, Robert Burgess and his wife Gigi of Stafford VA, Alexander M. Burgess IV and his wife Erin of Haverhill MA, his daughters Linda J. Nord and her husband Stephen of Mora MN and Lisa B. Hawkes and her husband Tom of Edmonds WA, her brother Rev. Kenneth L. Gustafson of Union, CT and a sister, Lillian Gustafson of Jamestown NY, 15 grandchildren and 4 great grand children. Donations maybe made to the Cornerstone Visiting Nurses Association or to the Walnut Grove Baptist Church. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be held Friday June 21, at 2PM at the True Memorial Baptist Church on Ten Rod Rd in Rochester. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery on Wednesday June 26 at 11AM in Jamestown NY. Arrangements are under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street Rochester, NH.
