Nancy Reed

Strafford NH-Nancy Reed,69, of Water St died Friday, November 16, 2018, at her Home. Born July 28, 1949, in Osaka, Japan, she is the daughter of the late David and Geraldine (Sabourin) Boyce. Nancy was a Master Gardener and was a member of the Strafford Garden Club. She spent countless hours in her garden maintaining a giant perennial garden. She sold the flowers and plants in her front yard using the honor system and donating the proceeds to charity. Nancy co-founded the flower garden at the Bow Lake dam, and many of her plantings were donated to decorate the flower bed. As a member of the Bow Lake Baptist Church she enjoyed attending services, singing and participating in prayer group. Nancy enjoyed music and was a member of the Sweet Adelines when she lived in Londonderry. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Members of her family include her husband, Thomas Reed, of Strafford; her daughter, Amanda Reed and her husband, Merle DeWitt of Epsom; her grandchildren, Gavin, Logan and Kayleigh DeWitt, all of Epsom, and her brothers, David Boyce of Sanbornton and Robert Boyce of Londonderry. She is predeceased by her son John Reed in 2009 and her sister, Janine Boyce. Cremation is under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester, NH 03867. Services will be announced at a later date.
