Barrington - Noel Roland Spruce (Skip) passed away at the age of 80 on February 9, 2015. Skip was born December 25, 1934 in Sanford, ME to Clement and Grace (Gould) Spruce. Skip attended schools in Maine and New Hampshire. In 1952 he graduated from Holy Rosary School in Rochester, NH. He retired from the navy in 1962. Skip lived in Barrington, NH. He worked and retired from Davidson Rubber, later known as Textron. He loved baseball and played on a team at Davidson Rubber with his brother Roy. Skip loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and ice skating. He loved and enjoyed his Christmas Tree business. He loved animals, especially his cat Pumpkin. He spent the last few days of his life caring for horses. Skip was always busy helping people and friends. He worked until he passed away. He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother Roger. He is survived by his children Debra Spruce of Lebanon, ME; and Brian Spruce of Farmington, NH; three grandchildren Dillon Levesque, Robbie and Josh Spruce, and his siblings Rhea Bosse, Ronald, Roy, and Earl Spruce and their families, and many close friends. Family and friends may visit Tuesday February 17, from 5-7 PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A memorial service will follow at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cocheco Valley Humane Society, 262 County Farm Road, Dover, NH.
