Rochester - Norman Joseph LaBrecque, Jr., 60, life-long resident of Rochester, NH passed peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and family following a short battle with cancer. Norm (Frenchie) was born September 21, 1954, in Rochester, NH, the son of Norman and Beatrice (Horne) LaBrecque, Sr. He graduated from Spaulding High School in 1972, and received his Associates Degree in Telecommunication from McIntosh College in 2000. Norm met the love of his life and soulmate, Barbara Phillips, during their high school years and were married September 20, 1975; sharing over 39 wonderful years, and raising a son and daughter. He will always be remembered by his wife and children as a man with a strong work ethic, a good provider and a loving husband, father and Pepe, who always put his family first. Norm worked as an Expert Machinist for Pratt & Whitney for the last 37 years, operating in various departments and production lines, most recently Overhaul & Repair in the Global Service Partners unit. Norm especially enjoyed the two new members of the family; grandson Lucas and granddaughter Magdalena (Maggie). They brought him much joy and many smiles these last 18 months. He enjoyed ice hockey, and spent his free time hunting and fly fishing, as well as tying flies as a hobby; many of which were given away to family and friends. Norm enjoyed spending time with all of his family and numerous friends, and frequently opened his home to them. Norm is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Phillips) LaBrecque; his son Michael LaBrecque and wife Karolina; his daughter Brandie Trepanier and husband Ryan; his 2 grandchildren Lucas and Magdalena; his mother Beatrice (Horne) LaBrecque;; and his sister Edythe (LaBrecque) Burkhead and husband Rick (Norm's brother-in-law and closest friend for over 44 years). He is predeceased by his father, Norman Joseph LaBrecque, Sr. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00-4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 12th, to be followed by a Celebration of Norm's Life at 4:00 PM at the Edgerly Funeral Chapel on Main Street, Rochester, NH Burial will be in the Rochester Hill Cemetery at a later date. Should family & friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone VNA Hospice, 178 Farmington Road, Rochester, NH 03867.
