Patricia M. Mayo

Milton, NH- Patricia M. Mayo, 81, passed away May 2, 2018 at Hyder House after a period of failing health. She was born April 28, 1937 in Sanford, ME to the late Raymond and Jeanette (Savoie) Desmarais. Moving to Rochester at an early age, she attended Rochester Schools. In the 1950's she worked at her family's Desmarais' Fish and Chip Restaurant, until her parents retired and the restaurant closed in 1977. She worked for several years as a "lunch lady" in the Rochester School System and then as a secretary in the Code Enforcement Office for the City of Rochester until retiring in the early 1990's and becoming her mother's caregiver. Anyone who knows her would say Patricia was "one of a kind." She had a great sense of humor and loved laughing, cooking, going out to eat, playing bingo, and enjoyed trips with the Rochester Area Seniors, where she had been president.
