Rochester - Paul W. Clement, 92, passed away Monday May 9, 2011 at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH following a brief illness. Born November 13, 1918 in Hartford, VT, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Parker) Clement. Mr. Clement served in the US Army Coast Guard during WWII on a mine ship stationed out of Fort Strong in Boston, MA. He later worked as a surveyor for the State of NH. He was a lifetime member of both the Elks Lodge 1393 of Rochester and the Club Victoire of Rochester, he was also a member of the American Legion Post 7. Paul loved the wildlife that he found around his home, he was an avid sports fan, and loved working in his garden. Members of his family include his children Paul A. Clement and wife Nancy; Walter Clement and wife Tricia, Leslie Cronin and husband Timothy, and Jonathan Clement and wife Holly all of Rochester, NH; his grandchildren Paul and Leann Clement, John and Crystal Clement, Justine Clement, Aaron and Patti Morrissey, Sean Cronin and Patria, Daniel and Vanessa Cronin, Brian Cronin, Amber, Andrew, Adam, Alexander, and Alan Clement; six great grandchildren Shandi, Tuesday, Bryce, Abigail, Liam, and Carter, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Anna Clement his wife of 60 years in 2003, five brothers and three sisters. Family and friends may visit Wednesday May 11, 2011 from 11AM to 1PM at the Emmanuel Advent Christian Church located on Eastern Avenue in Rochester. A funeral service will follow at 1PM. Burial will take place in the Rochester Cemetery following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH.
