Paula Lynn Bourque

May 26, 1970 — June 19, 2021

Paula Lynn Bourque, 51, of Lebanon, ME, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Paula was an avid outdoors person loved by everyone.  Paula was born in Mashpee, MA on May, 26, 1970. For 30 years, Paula was the devoted wife and homemaker for Paul. These 2 people loved each other to the envy of all. Never would they spend the night apart. This couple was known as a single word, "PaulandPaula". Just like "Peanut butter and Jelly", these guys were great by themselves, but, together inseparable and better. By her nature Paula was a caretaker. Paula took to being a grandmother at a young age of 25 with zest. Paula held the title of "Nana" with pride. She cared for her mother, grandmother, and Paul's mother without complaint. If there was ever a long term or short term need, Paula was first to be on the scene to help. No matter what type of day she was having, Paula would be cheerful and help others. Paula loved being a mother to Adam. Paula would be at home each and everyday as Adam would return from school to provide snacks and talk about his day. After Adam graduated high school and entered the military, Paula was quick to make sure Adam's young family was taken care of by having them move in with she and Paul for the summers while he was deployed. Paula was a competitor in all that she did, whether it was a friendly game of badminton, corn hole or a day of fishing. Paula liked to win and made sure she happily did no matter the event. There are so many pictures that prove her fishing abilities over Paul. Paula was always the happiest in the woods. They spent countless nights camping as a couple or with friends or taking the grandkids with them, laughing the sunny days and rainy nights away. Paula loved to hike and to just enjoy nature. Nature was Paula's most special place of Peace. One of Paula's strongest traits was her honesty. Paula was happy to talk to anyone, however, would not lie to them or for them. Paula's integrity was never compromised. When Paula said something was going to happen, her words were as good as gold. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Frederick Koch and Marsha Pike Koch, her sister Heather Koch Drew. Paula is survived by her husband, Paul Bourque, siblings Martha Oliver, Carl Koch (Karen), Mark Koch (Deb), her son Adam Bourque, 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
