Pauline C Godfrey

Pauline C. (Lavigne) Godfrey, 82, of Durham, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 19th, 2020 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Godfrey and loving mother to Teresa Dumont, Suzanne Smith, and Paulette Smith. She was an active member of Saint Leo's Catholic Church in Newmarket and TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). She loved to create: knitting, crocheting, and sewing. But most of all, spending time and forging fond memories with all of her numerous grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by all who knew, admired, and loved her. Pauline was born and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire, daughter of the late Alfred and Simonne (Gamache) Lavigne. After marrying Tony Godfrey in 1961 she traveled the world with him ,as he served in the United States Air Force and raised their three daughters until he retired in 1975.
