Pauline Yvette Krygeris

September 26, 1941 — July 3, 2017

Rochester NH- Pauline Yvette Krygeris,75, of Portland Street passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2017 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family, after a sudden illness. Born September 26, 1941 in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Belle (Chouinard) Proulx. Pauline was a very gifted person and made the difficult tasks in life look so easy to accomplish. Her ambition led her to become a teacher while raising six children. Though most would not consider taking on this challenge, Pauline successfully earned her degree in Elementary Education from Notre Dame College. Furthermore, she was truly the best mother a child could ever ask for. She was always there to help with any problem, with a smile and a positive outlook. Adversity was no match for her attitude. Pauline moved from Merrimack, NH to Rochester in 1979.  She was a well-respected 1st grade teacher at the Gonic School for many years.  Her face would always light up when she would talk about her students and their accomplishments. Her love for learning was inspiring to all.  Of her numerous hobbies, she especially enjoyed cooking, puzzling, gardening, tinkering with computers, and sharing her bubbly personality with her friends and family. Pauline always had a sharp wit, an encouraging word to say, and good advice. During particularly difficult times, her mantra was "tomorrow is always a new day." Her optimism was especially evident while dealing with chronic arthritic pain and complications. She often said "it could always be worse." Those who were lucky enough to have Pauline in their lives knew that she was a loyal, dedicated teacher and mentor, and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her children and their families: Debby Frisella and William Frisella of Auburn, NH, Nancy LeClair and James LeClair of Rochester, NH, David Krygeris and Patty Krygeris of Ossipee, NH, Robert Krygeris and Kim McIntire of Rochester, NH, Michael Krygeris and Melinda Towle of Somersworth, NH.  Her grandchildren are: Sean McIntire, Sonja Krygeris, Ashley Frisella, Nate Frisella, Jessica LeClair, Madison LeClair and three great grandchildren: Collin McIntire, Addison McIntire, and Ariana Frisella. Predeceased by her son, Peter Krygeris in 2004 and her sister Jane Jordan in 2016.
