Pearl Davis

ROCHESTER ; Pearl Edythe Davis, 86, of Rochester, passed away Thursday Dec. 18, 2008 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.Mrs. Davis was born in Lebanon, Maine, on April 6, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lura (Ricker) Johnson.She attended schools in West Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon Academy in 1940 and later became a trustee of that building for many years. She worked in many factories and also worked for the Home Makers of Strafford County for many years.Some of her favorite ways to spend the day were hitting the yard sales, going out to lunch and doing crossword puzzles. She was also a serious Scrabble player, frequently beating family and friends. She is the widow of Daniel N. Davis, who died in 1985.She is survived by her two sons, Douglas E. Joy and his wife Cheryl of Union and Donald A.
