Rochester, NH- Peter H. Allen, 59, of 12 Irish Street, died Monday Nov. 15, 2010 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born Sept, 25, 1951 in Rochester he was the son of the late Edward and Marie (Lonnroth) Allen. Pete was a lifelong resident of Rochester and had attended Spaulding High School. He served in the U. S Marines then became a machinist. He worked for Jarvis Co. Textron, Goss International and most recently General Electric Company. He was an active member of the Rochester Lodge of Elks #1393 and the Farmington Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf with his wife. Members of his family included his wife of 20 years, Paulynn (Blanchette) Allen of Rochester; daughter, Jennifer Courtemanche, Albany, NY, stepdaughters, Rebecca Croteau and husband Shawn of Barrington, NH, Jennifer Watkins and husband Tim of Okinawa, Japan, Jessica Carlson and husband Don of Mount Holly, NC.; grandsons, Logan and Tanner Croteau, brothers, Paul Allen and Timothy Allen both of Lebanon, ME. sister, Ann Marcinkowski of Rochester; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Evelyn Blanchette of Rochester ; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Allen. Family and friends may visit Thursday 2-4 & 6-8pm at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester NH. The Elks service will be at 7:00pm. The funeral service will be Friday at 10:00AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery, Franklin Street, Rochester NH. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Elks National Foundation, c/o Rochester Elks Lodge #1393, P. O Box 1393, Rochester NH 03866-1393.
