Rochester, NH- Philip A. Gould of Old Dover Road died August 10, 2017 at the Colonial Hill Center after a battle with cancer. Born August 16, 1939 in Portland, Maine, he is the son of the late George and Wynona (Strout) Gould. After serving in the Navy, Philip spent most of his life in Rochester. He worked as a projectionist at the VIP Theatre in Somersworth and the surrounding areas. He was an active member of the Emmanuel Advent Christian Church in Rochester, where he served as deacon and participated in the choir. He attended many other area church activities as well. He was a very active servant of the Lord. He earned a bachelor's of science degree, played golf, enjoyed photography, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Members of his family include his wife Patricia; his sons Timothy and Eric Gould and his wife Judith; his daughter Kimberly Gunter; his grand children James Gould and Matthew Laduke; He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other family members and dear friends. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Gould. In Lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to Emmanuel Church on Eastern Avenue, Rochester. There will be a celebration of life at the Emmanuel Advent Christian Church on Eastern Avenue, in Rochester on August 19th at 2:00 PM. Cremation is under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester NH 03867.
