Phyllis Chenard

Rochester - Phyllis Chenard, 70, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Born December 15, 1940 in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Mary (Bowley) Libby. She married Thomas Chenard in September, 1962 and they settled in Hamilton, MA. Phyllis was a homemaker while raising her two children and later worked as a pharmacy technician for CVS in Hamilton, MA. She was an avid country music fan. She enjoyed knitting, exercising and socializing with the friends she made while living at Tara Estates. She loved spending time on her computer, learning all she could. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her two granddaughters whom she loved more than words could express. Members of her family include her husband of 49 years Thomas L. Chenard of Rochester, NH; two children Roger Chenard and wife Diane of Southlake, TX; and Nicole Black and husband Christopher of Danvers, MA; two granddaughters Kelsey and Hailey Black, one brother Frank Libby of Rochester, NH; and her sister Patricia Libby of Salem, MA. Phyllis was a wonderful woman who had a kind spirit and a remarkable inner strength. She always placed others ahead of herself. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held Thursday December 8, at 11AM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. Burial will take place on Friday at 12PM in the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
