Phyllis Gauthier

Wolfeboro - Phyllis D. Gauthier, 88, passed away Friday July 13, 2012 at the Wolfeboro Bay Care and Rehabilitation Center following a period of failing health. Born July 9, 1924 in New Ipswich, NH she was the daughter of the late Walter and Velena (Ellis) Cheney. Phyllis worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in the Maternity Ward. She also worked during WWII for the US Cadet Nurse Corp. She loved watching the Red Sox, crossword puzzles, bird watching, listening to Elvis, and gardening. She always loved babies and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Members of her family include her daughter Sharon Pineo of Rochester, NH; her grandson David Smiley and wife Robin of Sanbornville, NH; her granddaughter Julie Taliaferro and husband Chad of Rochester, NH; her great grandchildren Emily Smiley, and Alec and Jack Taliaferro.
