Phyllis Pierce

DOVER - Phyllis Pierce, 101, formerly of Milton, passed away Monday Nov. 9, 2009 at the Riverside Rest Home in Dover following a period of failing health.Born July 13, 1908 in Methuen, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Waites) Bentley.Mrs. Pierce was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Milton Community Church when she was able to attend, a former charter member of the Milton Historical Society and former member of the Milton Women's Club. She was the recipient of the Boston Cane for being the oldest resident of Milton. She enjoyed arts and crafts.Members of her family include her son, David B. Pierce and his wife Louann of Rochester; her granddaughter, Jill A. Miltner and her husband Peter of Rochester; and five great grandchildren, Alan Jacobs, Peter Jr., Ashley, Joshua and Joel Miltner.She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest L.
