Priscilla Carrie Williams, 96, died peacefully surrounded by family in the early morning of May 2, 2012 at the home of her daughter Linda Lee. Priscilla was born August 7, 1915 in East Rochester, New Hampshire to Alfred and Gladys Houle. She was the youngest of 4 girls Esther (Buzak), Lucille (Labo), and Marjorie (Geary) with an extended family that included long time friend, companion, and adopted 'sister' Caroline (Goodell). Priscilla (Phoebe) grew up in a tight knit family. Some of her fondest members were the summers spent swimming, playing endlessly on the beach and teasing her Aunt's cattle. She and her sisters were great dancers and enjoyed dancing to the big bands at all the local dance halls in and around Rochester. In 1940, she met and married her late husband, Wesley (Doc) Robert Williams. They traveled extensively during his military career as a Naval flyboy, journeying to Hawaii, Texas, Florida, California, and New Jersey. Upon Doc's retirement they returned to Rochester, New Hampshire, where she worked in the catering industry and finished raising her two daughter's. Priscilla was an avid reader, swimmer, and dancer who loved the beach and the great outdoors. A devoted wife and beloved mother, she treasured and was faithful to family and friends. After her husband's death in February 1987, Priscilla began extended visits to her daughters in Richmond, Virginia and Stevensville, Maryland. Survived by her daughters, Nancy of Richmond Virginia, Linda Lee of Stevensville Maryland, grandchildren, Kara, Robert, Shannon, great grandchildren Samantha, Bryan, Justin, Lily, Victoria, Wesley, Taylor, Jordan, great-great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Austin, Connor and many very close nieces/nephews. Visiting hours will be Friday, May 11 between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at R.M. Edgerly & Sons Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, New Hampshire. Services will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery at the family plot, in East Rochester.
