Rochester NH-Ralph A. Doria, 87, of 71 Briar dr died Sunday April 17, 2011 at the Rochester Manor after a long illness. Born June 27, 1923 in Boston Ma he was the son of the late Anthony and Theresa Doria. Ralph served in the United States Navy during WWII. He served in the Pacific theatre on the USS Baltimore CA68 and the USS Snyder DE745. While stationed on the USS Baltimore he had the honor of transporting President Roosevelt and his dog Fala. He was employed as the head custodian a with Peabody School department for 25 years He was a member of the VFW 1011 in Peabody MA, Post County Commander and Post Commander. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics, he enjoyed dancing, gardening and woodworking.
