Rochester- Raymond Milanese, 88, of 9 North Dewberry Lane died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover. Born May 21, 1922 in Saugus, MA, He was the son of Italian immigrants, John and Frances (Conti) Milanese. Ray was a highly decorated veteran of World War II, having participated in the Normandy invasion, coming home to Massachusetts in 1945. He was a prolific artist with many paintings residing in family members' homes and public places in the area including Frisbee Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 67 years M. Lillian (Petris) Milanese of Rochester; his sons; Bob, Bill, Barry; three grandsons; Franz, John, and Jason; one great grandchild, Hannah Peront and several close nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. There are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2 PM in the chapel of the R. M.
