Richard Armstead

Lebanon, ME - Richard Armstead, 85, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Dover Center for Health and Rehabilitation of Dover, NH. He was born August 24, 1929 in Boston, MA, the son of the late Robert Wichart and Catherine Agatha (Wooten) Armstead. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked as a police officer and detective for the City of Boston, MA for many years. He has resided in Lebanon, ME since 1987 and was a member of the American Legion William E. Carter Post # 16. Members of his family include daughters, Sheila Armstead Thompson, CT, Brenda Armstead Pryor, NJ; grandchildren, Lauren and Alexa Pryor; brother, Raymond Armstead, MA; sisters, Barbara Hill, MA, Joan Kimber, MA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Ralph, Robert Jr., Roger, and Ronald Armstead, Sylvia Robinson, Kathleen Kimber. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2PM in the chapel of the R.M.
