Richard E Bukata

ROCHESTER - Richard E. Bukata, 67. of Rochester NH died peacefully , January 4, 2021 at Birch Healthcare center, after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 31, 1953, he was the son of William J. Bukata and Irene R. (Brown) Bukata. He is survived by his sister, Mary Anne (Bukata) Peterson of Strafford NH; his brother in law John Peterson of Strafford NH; his nieces: Meghan Peterson-Perez of Dover NH, and Holly Peterson Bisson of Newmarket NH; 15 cousins(Brown) 11 cousins(Bukata) and many friends. Rick enjoyed spending time with others. He enjoyed deep sea fishing at Rye Marina, spending time at large family gatherings, cooking and domestic activities, local travel, but mostly helping others. He spent decades socializing and assisting others in church groups in NH and Mass.  A highlight of his life was a trip to the Vatican with a group of Franciscan Brothers from Harvard Mass. He moved to NH in 1987, he practiced plumbing and held licenses in NH and Mass.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and avid sports fan of the Red Sox. He enjoyed watching old shows on TV especially the TV Land channel. He will be missed for his love of family, and his ability to be generous when he had very little to give.
