Richard Cliche, 85 of Lebanon, Maine passed away on September 9 at home with his lovingwife at his side. Born in Waterville, Maine to Malia Parker and Joseph Cliche on April 21, 1936.Dick was a devoted husband, an amazing dad, a loving son, a wonderful papa and great friendto many. He had a smile and a laugh that would light up the room. Dick was loved by many. Hewas a fun, kind and loving man who enjoyed life to its fullest.Dick was a truck driver most of his life. He loved driving the open road and he was good at it. Ifyou ever needed to know the best way to get somewhere, he always knew the way.He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors. He had many lifelong friends thathe took many trips with that he considered some of the best times in his life.Dick and Nat spent many years camping at Pittston Farm and King's landing were they mademany memories and loved living their life together. They spent many summers taking theirgranddaughter Lacey along. She held a special place in her papas heart as did all of his grandchildren.He was a member of the Springvale fish and game for many years. He so loved to play Whist.He was a long time member of the Rochester Elks lodge #1393. He held many chairs and wason many committees there over the years. Past exalted ruler 2009 and 2013. His presence willbe missed at the lodge.He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Natalie Cliche. She was his everything. His wife,his best friend, his hunting partner, his beer drinking buddy. They have the kind of love we allwish to find.He is survived by one daughter, Penny Taschereau whom he adored and her husband Dale ofRochester, NH. Three sons Scott Gardner and his wife Michelle of Rochester, NH, CraigGardner and wife Cyndie of Billerica, MA, Dale Gardner of Farmington, NH, and 4 stepchildrenFaye Lowery of Rochester, NH, Pam Sweeney of Manchester, NH, Elaine Needham of Dover,NH and Sonny Sweeney of Sanford, Maine. 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. AndSeveral step grandchildren.He was predeceased by his mother, Malia Brown and two stepsons Steven Gardner Jr andRonny Sweeney.There will be calling hours on Wednesday September 15th from 4 to 6 PM at Edgerly's Funeralhome in Rochester, NH. There will be an Elks ceremony at 5:30 PM followed by a celebrationof life at the Rochester Elks Lodge #1393.
