Richard A. Couture Jr.

Richard A. "Rick" Couture Jr., of Rochester, New Hampshire, and Amesbury, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026, in Topsfield, Massachusetts.

Born in Sands, Michigan, Rick was the son of Richard and Helene (Kramer) Couture.

Rick enjoyed a long and successful career in the telecommunications industry through his company in Amesbury, Massachusetts. As President of United Utility Corporation, he took great pride in his work and especially valued the relationships he built with colleagues, employees, and the teams he led throughout the years.

An avid reader, history enthusiast, and outdoorsman, Rick enjoyed boating, adventures, and lifelong learning.

True to his character, Rick worked hard and played harder. His wit, sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He would want to be remembered not with sadness but with laughter, good stories and fond memories shared among family and friends.

Rick is survived by his younger brother, David Couture; his nieces and nephews, Kalie Couture, Dillon Couture, Shea Couture, Jessica Trepanier, Jaimie Rivard, Karissa Laurion, Owen Couture, and Autumn Gradziel; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is also lovingly remembered by his longtime friend of more than 30 years, Lisa Vages.

Rick was predeceased by his father, Richard A. Couture Sr.; his mother, Helene M. Couture; his sister, Arlene (Couture) Keravich; and his brothers, Ernest Couture, Gregory Couture, and Gene Couture.
