Richard Douglas

The family of Richard "Dick" Douglas is sad to announce the news of his sudden passing on Saturday April 27, 2024. He was 82. Richard was born on June 3, 1941, to Gordon and Margaret Douglas and raised in Middleton, NH with his sister Patty and brother Ronny. He married the love of his life, Marianne Scala in 1958 and together they created their lifelong home in Rochester, NH. Their family soon expanded to include his two most beloved daughters, Debbe and Angie. Richard was a tireless worker and supporter of his family. He began at R.C. Mooney Inc. in Middleton for many years. He later became the co-owner of Scala's Sandwich Shop, which included booths at both the Rochester Fair and the Inn Towne Restaurant. After 23 years of small business success, he decided for a change and worked for the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation as Patrol Foreman of the Spaulding Turnpike.
