Strafford, NH- Richard E. Gilmore,80, of 34 Spencer Lane died Wednesday Aug. 12, 2015 at Hyder Hospice House in Dover after a period of failing health. He was born March 30, 1935 in E. Rochester, NH the son of the late William and Mary (Witham) Gilmore. He was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 1954 and worked many years as a driver salesman for Wonder Bread / Hostess Cake. After his retirement he operated Colonial Grocery in Gonic, NH. He served in the Army Reserves for four years. Dick enjoyed playing cribbage, horseshoes and watching TV. He was a longtime member of the Church of God in Rochester. Members of his family include his wife of 57 years, Shirley L. (Landry) Gilmore, Strafford; son, Richard James Gilmore and wife Lisa of Sherrills Ford, NC; daughter, Lynda Gilmore, Strafford; grandchildren, Matthews J Powers, Erin E. Powers, Logan J.
