Rochester- Richard L. Gray, 48, of 5 Paradis Drive, died suddenly Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford, Maine. Born July 30, 1962 in Rochester, NH, he was the son of the late Arthur K. and Shirley M. (Foss) Gray. Rich was a very loving and devoted husband and father. His family meant the world to him. He coached his children in various sports and was there for all of their games. Rich loved and excelled at woodworking and every year his family looked forward to something handcrafted by him at Christmas. His family and friends could always count on him being there to share his expertise and to lend a helping hand. Rich worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, ME and had been with the company for over 25 years. Members of his family include his wife of 27 years, Angie A. (Douglas) Gray; his son, Alex D. Gray; his daughter, Jessica M. Gray, all of Rochester; his sisters, Vicki Heyl and husband Dave of Rochester, Debra Rouleau and partner William Kaspriski of New Durham, Lorraine (Rainy) Stevens and husband Brad of Lebanon, ME, and Kathy Baker of Rochester; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Marianne Douglas of Rochester, his sister-in-law, Debbe Sanborn and husband, Norman, of Rochester, many nieces and nephews, and his German Shepherd, Max. Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 PM. Burial will be in the New Cold Springs Cemetery, East Rochester in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Richard's name to a charity of one's choice.
