Rochester- Richard Alan Haley, 59, of 6 Elsie Lane died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at his home after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born March 8, 1951 in Wolfeboro, NH, he was the son of the late Myron and Lucile (Herbert) Haley. Richard proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Detroit. He was an avid Harley Davidson Rider. He was always making one more upgrade to his bike and never missed attending or watching a NASCAR race. He worked as a rigger at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He loved children and dogs and always had a dog bone in his pocket just in case. Richard was always there when a friend or family member needed something. He was a loyal and faithful friend, coworker, brother, son and husband. Enjoyed hunting with his brother Jimmy and relaxing in his sister's pool, he never missed an opportunity to spend time with his family.
