Richard Leslie

Madison, N.H. -- Richard "Dick" S. Leslie, 63, of 11 Brookstone Lane, died May 26, 2014 at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, N.H. after a period of failing health due to cancer. Richard was born in Rochester, N.H. on March 17, 1951, the son of Edward and Shirley (Richardson) Leslie. Eddie and Shirley raised Richard and their two daughters, Betty and Judy, in Dover, N.H. Richard worked at Moore Business Forms and Peak Technologies in Dover, N.H. as a purchasing agent for almost three decades. He held numerous other jobs, including working at King Pine Ski Resort as a lift attendant after retiring in the fall of 2012. After graduating from Dover High School in 1969 he married his best friend and love of his life, Wendy (Crockett) Leslie. Richard and Wendy were blessed with two sons, Derek and Craig, who they raised in Rochester, N.H. Richard was a dedicated member of the Rochester Youth Hockey Association, selflessly volunteering his time as a coach, treasurer and association president for over 15 years. He was first and foremost a dedicated husband, dad and grandfather. Richard enjoyed fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, gardening and working on his Corvettes. His favorite activity in recent years was spoiling his two grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Grampy". Richard is survived by his wife Wendy Leslie of Madison; son Derek Leslie and his wife Amy Leslie of Fremont; son Craig Leslie of Lincoln; grandchildren Payten Leslie and Ryan Leslie of Fremont; sisters Betty Chabott of Keene and Judy Leslie of Kingston; several brother in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Family and friends may visit Friday June 6, from 6-8PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10AM in the chapel of the funeral home.
